Reminder: Hilton Spectacular on Christmas Eve

Thought I'd catch you up and also remind everyone of an event.
I've been collecting several new pictures. I'll probably have the first "Pic O' Rama" in over year and a half in the next week. Be sure to visit again for that.
As a reminder, Carly will be signing on NBC on December 24. She is part of the "Hilton Family Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular". Carly is signing original songs. The show airs from 4-6PM EST on NBC.

New Blog; New Design
|
Carly has sent us a new blog entry. Here's a preview of the blog:
What's up? I'm doin' pretty good right now. I just sort of moved to L.A. to further my singing and what not. But I'm still living in Dallas too. I go back and forth between Dallas and L.A. Right now I'm in Dallas, it feels really good to be home. I've been hanging out with friends and family. I really miss my little puppy (Dolce) a lot. Our apartment doesn't allow you to have a dog and that sucks.

Hilton Spectacular Update
|
The Hilton Spectacular has been moved up to Christmas Eve. It seems to be a mostly positive move. Now you can watch Carly and then open your Christmas presents. :) It either shows from 2-4PM EST or 4-6PM EST. I've seen both posted. In case you didn't know, Carly sings two songs that she co-wrote.

Carly to Make Singing Debut
|
Singing Debut? Didn't she sing on Celebrity Duets? Yes, but not with original songs. Carly will be singing songs that she co-wrote. The singing will take place at the Hilton Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular on October 28 at 7:30 in Portland, OR. It will air nationally on NBC but not until January 14. If you live in the Portland area and can give us updates, please contact us. Tickets range from $30 to $100. Row 1 tickets are still available.
Other performers include Paul Hamm, Shannon Miller, Morgan Hamm, Dominique Moceanu, Chellsie Memmel, and Nastia Luikin. To purchase tickets, click here.

Hey Everyone,
Y'all probably saw that I got cut from the show last week. I was pretty bummed about it at first, but then I thought how cool of an experience I got to
have and how blessed I was to just make the show. I learned so much and
I feel like I have grown leaps and bounds in just a month.
I'm going to keep pursing my dream to becoming a singer and hopefully some
doors open for me. I just want to thank all my fans for supporting me and voting! Y'all are awesome and maybe I'll see you all on tour someday ;-)
I'm was in the audience last night cheering and I'm also in the finale
show which is next week.
The finale is two hours. It will be full of surprises and it's definitely
going to be a good last show to watch! C'ya there!

Notes of the Day
|
- Carly has not completely left Celebrity Duets. She will return and will be singing in the grand finale. The grand finale has been pushed up from October 13 to September 29. That's next Friday.
- Tonight (September 18), Carly will be attending the "Stick It!" DVD release party. I should be able to find some pictures from the event tomorrow.
- Some people have requested an MP3 of Week 3, Song 2. So I made an MP3 of it. It was Carly's best performance and now you can listen to it on your Ipod. - Download it
- The last week has been a very busy week, visitor-wise. We had our busiest day ever on Friday with 2,136 unique visitors.

- I'll post some TV critics reviews of Carly's last performances. Here they are:
What a turnaround. Carly improved a ton, while everyone else was sucked into some abyss of suckiness. Did she sell her soul to the devil? Or perhaps all she needed was a little promise of potential sex to get her motivated. I guess I'm glad America has no ears and booted Lea instead of Carly. I'm sure Lea didn't have much room for improvement in her.

Carly Patterson & Jesse McCartney: Hey, it's the kid from Summerland. Is he going to make out with Carly on stage? Could this stray into Justin Timberlake/Janet Jackson territory? No, it's much more G-Rated than that. Maybe a little PG. We're only going to get some suggestive looks. They do have some chemistry though. I'm seeing dream casting for High School Musical: The Return.

Carly Patterson and Jesse McCartney: Carly was in the bottom three last week and survived to return for another performance. This was her best so far, but her voice was drowned out everytime her and Jesse sang together. Marie requested that Carly loosen up a bit while singing, Little Richard said something about pushing and pulling, and David asked that she sing from her diaphragm rather than her throat. As those of you former high school choir participants know, you project stronger and further when you sing from your diaphragm.

Celebrity Duets - Week 3, Song 2 and 3 Videos

Despite a strong performance on Song 1, Carly was voted off. She did a great job though. I think everyone was surprised to see Carly go, even those who weren't huge Carly fans. The official Celebrity Duets web site was even surprised that Carly was voted off instead of Cheech. Hopefully Carly can continue her dream of being a singer.
